SML Isuzu records a 6.3% rise in June 2025 vehicle sales, led by strong cargo demand; quarterly growth is also positive, with steady performance in the passenger segment.
SML Isuzu Sales Rise in June 2025, Cargo Vehicles Lead the Way

Key Highlights:

  • SML Isuzu sold 1,871 vehicles in June 2025, up 6.3% from June 2024.
  • Cargo vehicle sales grew sharply by 41.6%, reaching 480 units.
  • Passenger vehicle sales slightly dipped by 2.1%, totalling 1,391 units.
  • Q1 FY2025-26 sales reached 4,926 units, a 12.5% year-on-year increase.
  • Cargo segment led Q1 growth with a 46.3% surge, while passenger vehicles grew by 4.0%.

SML Isuzu Limited has reported a positive sales performance for June 2025, showing signs of consistent recovery and market traction. According to a regulatory filing made on July 1, 2025, to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and the National Stock Exchange (NSE), the company sold a total of 1,871 vehicles in June 2025. This reflects a 6.3% increase compared to the 1,760 units sold in June 2024.

Cargo Vehicles Drive Growth

The rise in total sales was primarily due to the impressive performance of cargo vehicles. In June 2025, SML Isuzu sold 480 cargo units, marking a significant 41.6% jump from the 339 units sold in the same month last year. This indicates strong demand in the goods transportation segment, possibly driven by increased economic activity and fleet replacement.

Passenger Vehicles See Slight Dip

While cargo vehicles saw solid growth, passenger vehicle sales slightly declined. In June 2025, SML Isuzu sold 1,391 passenger vehicles, compared to 1,421 units in June 2024. This represents a minor drop of 2.1%, suggesting a more stable or saturated market for passenger transport solutions.

Strong Start to FY2025-26

For the first quarter of the current financial year (April to June 2025), SML Isuzu registered total sales of 4,926 vehicles. This marks a 12.5% growth from 4,379 units sold in the same period last year. Here are the key highlights:

  • Cargo vehicles: 1,282 units sold (up by 46.3% from 876 units last year)
  • Passenger vehicles: 3,644 units sold (up by 4.0% from 3,503 units last year)

This indicates a balanced demand for both categories, with cargo vehicles continuing to lead the momentum.

CMV360 Says

SML Isuzu’s June 2025 performance reflects its growing strength in the cargo segment and overall positive momentum in the commercial vehicle space. With a solid start to the new financial year, the company is well-positioned to capitalise on market demand, particularly in goods transportation. The slight dip in passenger vehicle sales may require attention, but the broader sales trend remains encouraging for investors and industry watchers.
