NueGo, an electric intercity bus service, has expanded its operations across India. The company has introduced several new routes, including its longest service yet: Delhi to Lucknow. This route covers the distance in around 10 hours and is part of NueGo’s push to meet the growing demand for cleaner, safer travel options.

New Routes in North and South India

The newly launched routes connect many major cities and towns. Some of the main connections now available include:

  • Amritsar and Delhi
  • Bengaluru to Davanagere and Madurai
  • Chennai to Madurai and Salem
  • Delhi to Bareilly and Haldwani
  • Guntur to Visakhapatnam

Other added services link Gurugram with Haldwani, Jaipur with Kota, Delhi with Hisar, and Amritsar with Jammu. Travelers can also now book rides between Indore and Ratlam, Hyderabad and Kurnool, and Bangalore and Mysore.

Over 300 Electric Buses Now in Service

NueGo is operated by GreenCell Mobility, a company supported by Eversource Capital. Currently, NueGo has more than 300 electric buses running across 100+ cities in India. These buses can travel over 250 km on a single charge and up to 500 km with fast charging. To support this growing network, over 50 charging stations have been set up across the country.

Focus on Safety and Comfort

Each NueGo bus goes through 25 safety checks. These cover both mechanical and electrical systems. The buses also have CCTV cameras, GPS tracking, and are limited to a maximum speed of 80 km/h. Special features for women include designated seating during booking, a 24/7 helpline, and extra security at both stations and on board.

India’s First Electric Sleeper Bus Service

NueGo calls itself the first electric sleeper bus service in the country. Every bus in its fleet includes Advanced Driver Assistance Systems for added safety and smooth driving.

Clean Travel for the Future

GreenCell Mobility is focused on sustainable transport. Devndra Chawla, CEO and MD of GreenCell Mobility, said, “This is not just about expansion; it’s about leading a nationwide movement for zero-emission intercity transport.”

Adding sleeper buses and safety features makes it a strong step toward cleaner, more reliable intercity transport in India. NueGo’s growth aligns with India's push for more electric vehicles to reduce pollution. With rising fuel costs and stronger policies around clean energy, services like NueGo show that electric buses can be a reliable option for long-distance travel in India.
